Shift work in Liberia

Work today.
Get paid without chasing anyone.

GoWork connects people who are ready to work with restaurants, hotels, events and homes that need a hand for a shift. Every shift is paid into GoWork before it is posted, so the money is already there when you finish.

How a shift works

Agree first. Fund first. Then work.

The worker sees the pay, hours and tasks before saying yes. The business pays in before anyone shows up. Nobody has to argue about money after the work is done.

01

The business posts and pays in

Exact tasks, hours, place and flat pay for each worker. The shift only goes live once the money is confirmed.

02

Workers apply

People with the right skills see the shift, listen to it or read it, and apply if they can get there on time.

03

The worker accepts a shift agreement

Pay, hours, break, safety notes and cancellation rules in one agreement with a reference number. Pay can never be lowered after it is accepted.

04

Check in with a code

The manager gives a 4-digit code on arrival. No code? The manager confirms you instead. No tracking all day.

05

Check out with the task list

The worker ticks what was done and reports any extra time worked, so it gets paid instead of ignored.

06

Approved, then paid

The business approves, or pay is approved 2 hours after check-out if no real problem is raised (proposed). It is sent to your verified mobile money.

Your pay, step by step

Always know where your money is.

The app shows each step separately, so "sent" never pretends to be "received". Every payout has a receipt with the agreement number, the amount, and what happened when.

  1. FundedPaid in before postingThe business pays your shift into GoWork's payment partner first.
  2. AgreedYou accept the termsPay, hours and rules are fixed in your shift agreement.
  3. ApprovedWork is approvedBy the business, or automatically if no real problem is raised.
  4. SubmittedSent to the partnerGoWork has asked the payment partner to send your pay.
  5. SettledIn your accountThe partner confirms it reached your mobile money.

A problem only holds the part in question

If a business disputes part of a shift, only that amount waits for review. The rest is paid right away. Unhappiness alone never cancels earned pay.

Failed payouts are checked, never guessed

If a payout is returned, GoWork opens a case and confirms where the money is before sending again, so you are never paid twice or not at all.

Paying on the same day is our goal. Real payout times depend on the payment partner and will be published once they are tested.

Safety and fairness

Rules that work for both sides.

Either side can report

Workers can report unsafe sites, unpaid work or mistreatment. Businesses can report lateness or unfinished tasks. Raising a pay or safety problem never costs you shifts.

Both sides are heard

A real person reviews every report and asks both sides before deciding. You can appeal to a second reviewer.

Earned pay is protected

Accepted pay can't be lowered, and extra time worked is paid. A complaint holds only the disputed part, never all of someone's pay.

Emergencies are excused

Tell GoWork as soon as you can. A verified emergency does not count against your rating.

Honest about skills

Only take jobs you can do and reach on time. Arrive clean, dressed for the job and ready to follow instructions.

No party, no favours

GoWork is privately owned and nonpartisan. Jobs and pay never depend on who you support.

Your information

Only what the job needs.

Kept to a minimum

We ask only for what a job, your pay, the law or your safety needs, and we tell you why first.

No all-day tracking

Location is only used when you check in. A code from the manager works too.

Photos stay private

Work photos are never public unless you choose. Photos used in a dispute stay with the case team.

Ask for your records

Ask for a copy, a correction or to close your account. Some pay records must be kept by law, privately.

Before we open

No real bookings or money until these are done.

GoWork will start taking real shifts and payments only when every one of these is complete and written down. Until then, the app is a preview.
